*A note on small candy canes*
It’s harder than you think to find mini candy canes with an OPEN hook. I like the open hook because they look so cute and they can hang on the edge of your mug. So darling! I went to eight stores trying to find them. I finally found these. They worked perfectly! If you want to avoid the drama, just order online.
Make your candy cane stir sticks
- Crush up a few candy canes in a plastic bag.
- Stick a candy cane into a marshmallow for as many as you want to make.
- Melt 1 cup chocolate chips and 1/2 tsp butter in the microwave.
*hint – don’t melt them all the way, just until they’re getting melty. Stir while they finish melting - Dip the marshmallow in the chocolate.
- Sprinkle on some of the crushed candy cane pieces.
I like to hang them on something to cool – skewers balanced between things or a clean hanger work well. - Enjoy!
If you’re making these for gifts, put them in a plastic bag, cut out the printable, then fold the paper in half and attach to the plastic bag.
I love making these for gifts because you can gift them alone or add things to go with them. Here are some ideas of things you can pair them with:
